Drum Circle and Ancestor Fire Ceremony In-Person

Friday, October 30th, 2026, 6:30 – 8:30 PM
Location: South Minneapolis (Specific location will be sent after you register)

Samhain (SOW-uhn) is the Celtic marker for the beginning of winter’s darkness, the release of the old year, and preparation for rebirth. It is a time to honor and attend to the ancestors, to feel the majesty of the turning wheel of life, to cleanse off heavy energies we are carrying, and to gather strength and protection for the winter.

In this in-person ceremony we will send gratitude and healing to our ancestors. We will make a formal offering bundle from dried food, herbs and flowers, a tradition I learned in Peru, but one that is cross-cultural. We will supply all the materials needed, but you are also free to bring something from your garden (flowers or herbs) if you wish.

Bring a drum, rattle or other noisemaker, or borrow one of ours. No drumming or shamanic experience needed! The space will be outside and smallish. We can provide a few chairs, but it will be great if you bring your own camp chair or blanket to sit on.

Attendance will be limited to about 25 because of the size of the space.
