Imagine a winter escape that combines the sunny-fun of relaxed beach lounging with the spiritual depth of shamanic teachings and a night-time medicine ceremony on the Mexican beach. No need to imagine! That’s what we are offering.

Last year, we found an awesome out-of-the-way, family-owned-and-operated resort near Mayto Mexico, that overflows with safe, lovely, charm & chill. (Hotel Reconcito, Mayto about 1.5 hours south of Puerto Vallarta.) Hotel rooms are mere steps from a sparsely touristed beach, which is five minutes from a heart-warming turtle sanctuary (last year we participated in a mass baby turtle release.)

There is a marvelous secret cove a short walk away, where we will hold a powerful night-time ceremony on the beach under a waxing moon, under the guidance of grandfather fire, mother ocean, brother breeze, sister stars, and wondrous little helpers from the dark earth.

Some of the teachings we will work with:

• The shamans’ ten principles of power and how to use them

• The four steps to transcendent consciousness according to Tibetan Buddhism

• Ridding your energy field of spiritual parasites that leak your power

• Daily Qigong and prayer practices for infusing power into yourself

You will have ample time for quiet self-reflection or nourishing conversation with like-minded people. You will have a private room. (Most rooms involve climbing some stairs. Let me know if you have serious mobility issues and need a ground-level room.)

The food is fresh, healthy, and authentically Mexican – cooked by the family who owns the resort. They can accommodate gluten free and vegetarian diets, but if you have other complex food allergies, this retreat may not be suitable for you.

The fee includes the retreat teachings, nighttime ceremony and ground transport from Puerto Vallarta (PV). We will leave as a group Tuesday morning, Feb 13th. (Everyone needs to be in Puerto Vallarta the night before.) We will return to PV Sunday evening, the 18. You can fly out Monday the 19th.

You will pay for your hotel room, meals, drinks, and airfare. The hotel room for the week of the retreat should run approximately $275 per person. Hotel rooms in Puerto Vallarta range from $60 on up. At this writing, flights from MSP are about $500. They will shoot up very soon. I am happy to make the Puerto Vallarta hotel reservations for anyone who wants me to. I'll be in touch about that after you make your deposit.

If you plan to add on the two days in Puerto Vallarta with a whale watching excursion with us, the estimated cost is $450 (hotel, food, whale watching). I will pin this down as soon as I can.

Your $500 deposit will hold your place and is non-refundable. The balance is due by December 15, 2023.
