This trip combines the grandeur of touring the stunning Scottish highlands with making ceremony to the land, working with ancient Celtic spiritual forces, honoring ancestors, learning fabulous wonder tales, and filling our lives with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The trip will culminate at the autumn equinox with a mythic water-crossing to the Isle of Lewis and the amazing Standing Stones of Callanish - erected 2,000 years before Stonehenge.

My goal for the trip is to have fun, find spectacular places to revel in the landscape and do ceremony - diving deep into a state of wonder and mystery - and have more fun. We will seek out power spots - caves, waterfalls, faery glens, ancient ritual sites, mountains - where we will do ceremonies asking for power, healing, and insight and direction in life. We will work with the ancestors and the spirits of the land wherever we go. Along the way (and before we go), you will receive some basic teachings in Celtic lore and shamanic practice, the Faery realm, Celtic wonder tales, poetry and song - all to help boost your experience. On the trip, you will make offerings and prayers and you'll be offered visionary and healing experiences with the spirits of the land. This adventure can provide you a profound opportunity for personal spiritual work - healing, opening, and deepening. And did I mention fun?

You will book your own flights. After you register, I'll send you details and advice. There is an option of adding on several days before to visit amazing Iceland. (Scroll to the end for details.)
September 15: Depart USA, 7 PM, overnight flight.
September 16: Arrive Glasgow 11 AM, drive to Kilmartin (two hours.) Stay in Kilmartin.
![]() September 16 -17: Kilmartin Glen
Before the pyramids were built, the inhabitants of this ancient ritual site had built the first of the many burial cairns. Hundreds of ritual sites are spread about a six-mile radius in the glen. It's one of the most important ritual sites in all of Europe, and most people who visit say that the place has a deep feel to it, and that feeling is what we will be working with ceremonially. September 22 - 23 (Autumn Equinox)
We will ride the ferry from Skye to the Isle of Harris and drive up to the starkly beautiful Isle of Lewis, the location of the breathtaking Standing Stones of Callanish. (About a 3 hour ferry ride, plus an hour drive.) This neolithic site is 2,000 years older than Stonehenge. It is an off-the-beaten-track wonder and our destination for working ceremonially with the autumn equinox. The stones are situated to gaze out across the water toward a mountain ridge known to locals as "Sleeping Beauty" in English or "Cailleach na Mointeach" in Gaelic - which translates as "The Old Woman of the Moors." We will make ceremony here to the goddess of the land, to the Mother Earth, sending blessing, power, healing and thanks to her, and asking for her guidance in our lives.

"Traveling with Jaime was a life-changing experience. He led us to places of extraordinary beauty and spiritual power, where we had a perfect mix of structured teachings and free time for personal exploration. What began as a group of strangers felt like a family by the end of the trip. For anyone interested in cultivating a more spiritual life, a trip like this is an invaluable opportunity to immerse yourself in a kind of beauty and wonder that can further you on your path. Since coming home I've felt stronger, more centered, and more peaceful than ever. I'm already planning my next trip abroad with Jaime!"

Early Bird Special: Be among the first three to register and save $150: $2350
Normal Cost: $2500.
My goal for this trip, besides having a fantastically fun and spiritually wondrous journey to an awesomely mystical land, is to keep it a reasonable cost for you. To do that, I'm offering a journey which includes the base expenses, and puts you in control of how you choose to spend money. The lodging will be clean, safe and charming, but generally not luxurious.
The above price does not include airfare, food, or touristy fees (like scotch tasting, museums or admission fees for education centers or parks), tips for drivers, shopping, or fees for engaging local experts in myth, lore or shamanic practice. It doesn't include extra fees for a single room. (If you want a single room the entire trip add on $650 and let me know when you register.)
The above price does include lodging, ground transport beginning from our first hotel. Some lodging includes a Scottish breakfast, but in some our lodging we may be cooking for ourselves. Lodging will be in shared rooms - most often two people per room in single beds, but possibly three or four in a room in single beds. If you want a single room, please let me know, and be prepared to add $650 on. If you snore loudly please ask for a solo room when you register. After some research, it seems a safe estimate of basic food costs is $80 per day - but you'll want to do your own research on this. Vegan food is widely available.
The above price does not include Iceland. Let me know when you register if the three-night Iceland stopover interests you. I'll need a minimum of 4 for that leg to happen. I advise you to budget $1300 for your three nights in Iceland. Iceland is a very expensive place to eat, sleep and shop - and worth it - the land has an incredible energy.
The itinerary is in some flux. I'm not a fan of crowded tourist areas, I want us to have plenty of long stretches to be on the land, walking it, absorbing it, singing to it, and making offerings. I've tried my best to schedule our driving times in manageable chunks of four hours. Scotland is hiking land, and this trip will include some not-grueling walking. You are always free to decline the hike, and there are always non-hiking activities available.
You will book your own flight. This gives you flexibility to extend your trip however you wish. I'll let you know my flight details if you want to be on the same flight. Otherwise, it will be your responsibility to be at the Glasgow airport by 11 AM on September 16th, or meet us at our first lodging in Kilmartin.
Full payment is due by July 15. The full payment is refundable minus a $400 administrative fee up until August 1. After that, it is refundable minus $900 plus any non-refundable costs (lodging) already incurred.

"Being in a class or ceremonial space with Jaime is the spiritual experience I always wanted from church but never found. Jaime moves easily between the sacred and the silly, putting everyone at ease and creating an amazing camaraderie and intimacy between strangers. The class was motivating, inspiring, and thought-provoking. I would take any class from Jaime because I know that in anything he leads, I will be reminded of how sacred life is and feel connected to my deepest self."
