Earth Ecstasy Retreat is based on these ideas:
. This world is alive.
. All life is interconnected.
. Our true nature is far more ancient and beautiful than our current
religious and cultural orthodoxies like us to believe.
. The experience of reconnecting with the earth unblocks our pain, fear
and inertia.
. The experience of reconnecting with the earth builds our powers to act
on the behalf of the web of life.
. No person, group or nation can solve the environmental crisis alone.
Our entire species will need to decide over the next few
generations whether or not human consciousness will change and make the
environment a priority. But as spiritual and ethical
beings, you and I can refuse to not act. We can refuse to remain blocked
by fear, pain and confusion. We can choose to do even
one small thing. We can choose to add a few drops into the ocean of
consciousness change that we wish to see. We can try our
best to become the change we want to happen.
What are the goals of the retreat?
. To provide you an opportunity to experience a reconnection with the
earth.
. To reframe your pain and fear as evidence of your deep love for the
web of life, and to transform despair into hope and action.
. To provide you with concepts and ideas that illumine your powers to
act on behalf of the web of life.
. To provide a safe spiritual environment that helps cleanse and heal
you, freeing your powers of love to act on behalf of the web
of life.
. To enable you to feel supported and affirmed in your desire to heal
the earth.
. To provide rest, rejuvenation, empowerment, and fun.
. Great food, massage, hiking, and great conversation will all be
offered.
Retreat leader Jaime Meyer (M.A., Theology) is widely known for his
ability to lead people into both deep laughter and deep sacred
space. Drawing on 20 years of shamanic study and training, he has an
uncanny ability to open people to personal transformation.
The
retreat is open to adults. The price includes bunkroom lodging and food.
More luxurious private room accommodations are also available
in the main Villa Maria building for an additional charge. Drums are
provided (or you can bring your own) and no drumming skill or
experience is needed!
PAYMENT: The cost is $150. A deposit of at least
$75 is due at the time of making your reservation.
