Trip to Peru May 10-20, 2019
This trip is designed to give you a life-changing spiritual encounter with a truly magical, high-vibration landscape and teachers who will deliver authentic teachings in Andean spirituality and shamanism. Frankly, it's the kind of trip most people don't do. Some of the lodging will be spare as we will be in the remote mountains, in a village where tourists don't go. We are seeking authenticity over comfort, and that involves travel to out of the way places, working with masters who, in between teaching their own people the ancient traditions, are open to working with serious and committed seekers. If that describes you, welcome along! Questions: drummingthesoulawake@gmail.com
![]() I'm thrilled to take you with me to work with Adolfo Ttito Condori, and his brothers Rodolfo and Claudio. Coming from generations of Andean priests, they will welcome us to their ancestral land at Pomacanchi, and work with us there, where they teach their own people and apprentices. We'll experience various ceremonies, learn techniques and, most importantly, be welcomed into an understanding of the awe-inspiring, mind expanding spiritual worldview of the Andes. We will learn how we fit into the universe and how to work directly with the energies of creation. This is a foundation of knowledge and techniques that you can continue working with as you return to your ordinary life (which truly, will be ordinary no more!) We will have a translator with us the entire time - my friend and curandera, Dora. Questions: drummingthesoulawake@gmail.com

You will make your own flight arrangements (to Lima and from Lima to Cusco and return) but I am happy to help you plan. This trip does not include exploring Lima, nor your hotel and taxi costs in Lima. If you want to go earlier, it will ultimately be your responsibility to meet the group either at the Lima airport or at the hotel in Cusco by 6 PM on May 11.
I will fly from the Twin Cities to Lima on May 10, arriving in Lima at about 11:30 PM. I'll stay overnight at a not-luxurious hotel very near the airport, and fly to Cusco around 9:30 AM on Saturday the 11th. You are welcome to travel with me or make your own plans. After you register, I'll be happy to offer any advice I can on travel and where to stay in Lima. You'll pay for hotel, meals and all else in Lima.

We travel to Pomacanchi, the spectacular mountain home of the esteemed Tito Condorri family of paqos ("the Brothers"). This is a rare opportunity to recieve authentic and beautiful traditions of Andean cosmology, rites, ceremonies for cleansing negative energy, meditations and prayers, and foundations of working with your "mesa" (the personal altar), the mountain spirits, medicinal herbs, and much more. Our learning takes place in this incredibly high-frequency landscape that will infuse itself into your energy body, and our learning takes place in the same remote town, in the same small buildings and in the same way, as the Brothers teach their own people and apprentices.
Pomacanchi is a beautiful area a few hours outside of Cusco with many sacred rivers, mountains and temples that can be reached as 1/2 day or day trips. It is not a place where tourists visit, which gives us the opportunity to work undisturbed as we open to recieve the spirit of the land and the teachings.
Pomacanchi will be our home base for the three nights. During these three days we will also take short trips and hikes to sacred temples and powerful natural sites (and hopefully a trip to some glorious hot springs not too far away). One of our days in Pomacanchi, we will enjoy a huatia - an ancient way of cooking food under the earth. This will be a uniquely powerful communal experience full of joy and food!
Lodging: Pomacanchi Homestead (note that, while reasonably comfortable rooms, they can be cold at night and the beds are basic). Included: Breakfast in Rumi Punku, transport, lunch, dinner, lodging, teachings with specialist translator. Not included: possibly a small fee to help buy the food for the huatia. Also, personal healing or divination sessions you request from the teachers will cost approximately $100 US.
A note about how the itinerary can change: Working authentically means that The Brothers ask the Spirits what the group needs, and we do what they tell us to do. This, in itself is a powerful lesson for us. If you sign on to this trip you'll want to be flexible. There are a couple of ideas I've suggested for what I'd love to include in the trip, and we just have to see what Spirit, working through our teachers, arranges for us.

This trip is designed to not be overly physical. The hikes we have planned are generally not grueling, but they will take some effort. (Last year, we had an 80 year old man and someone who had bad knees.) We help each other out, we don't rush, and we rest when we need it. When you register you will receive additional information and travel tips. In the meantime, please feel free to ask questions by emailing Jaime: drummingthesoulawake@gmail.com.
Price: $2900 for the first seven who register. $3,000 thereafter. (This does not include airfare to Lima and Cusco.) A deposit of $250 will reserve your spot. The deposit is fully refundable until February 15, 2018. Full Payment is due by March 31st. Payment plans are possible - please feel free to ask. Flights from Minneapolis to Lima in May hover around $1,100. Cheaper flights are available if you want long layovers or adventures with small Latin American airlines. Flights from Lima to Cusco are about $150 Round trip. Flights between Minneapolis and Lima fill somewhat quickly, so if you want to be on the same flight as me, it's best to make your arrangements sooner rather than later.
