Peruvian Prayer Cloths
These extraordinary hand-embroidered prayer cloths are made by women of the Shipibo tribe (the shamans that I work with in the Amazon jungle). These cloths are wonderful in their artistry, but they are also ancient prayer songs embedded in a physical cloth - the same prayers that the shamans sing in ceremony and to people they are healing. The undulating lines and geometric shapes are actually musical notes. Each cloth emits the vibration of the particular prayer song and it amplifies your own prayers. These one-of-a-kind art works are suitable for framing or hanging. You can use them for decoration on a flat surface and they make great altar cloths.
