Healing The Childhood
A shamanic approach to healing the adult child of addiction and family dysfunction.

This weekend experience is a collaboration between two modalities: a traditional "inner child" therapeutic approach from the arena of family addictions counselling, and shamanic ceremony focusing on "soul retrieval." This delivers to you a healing experience unlike any other.  Whether your family patterns involve addiction, mental illness or other issues, this weekend is designed to help you release old patterns, call back lost power, and live in new strength and solidity.

Become the whole person you know you can be

Addiction, mental illness, abuse, shame, judgment, anxiety, fear – when any of these are present in a child’s home environment, it imprints one’s self-worth into adulthood. Being an adult child of an alcoholic (or addict of any kind) or growing up in a dysfunctional family, can leave you as an adult who responds to situations with self-doubt, self-blame, a constant worry of being wrong or inferior, or a sense of disconnection from self, others and Spirit. Adult behaviors have been shaped by childhood hurt.

This highly experiential weekend workshop will combine shamanic healing practices and beautiful communal ceremony with “inner child” therapeutic modalities to reconnect you with that vibrant child who you may have glimpsed throughout your life, but who so often seems to hide away behind feelings of worthlessness. You will leave the workshop having had direct healing take place and owning a tool kit of practices that you can draw on for the rest of your life.

You will do individual and communal shamanic work that will heal that child and invite it into your life to stay as a trusted guide, advisor and inspiration. You’ll learn how to create new, safe and holistic home for that inner child and other spiritual powers.

The result? You will be more empowered, more capable of joy and creativity, more buoyant and willing to take risks, and your relationships with others and with Spirit will be more open and touched with real love.

“After a while the middle-aged person who lives in her head begins to talk to her soul, the kid.”
― Anne Lamott,
Joe Jones

“Let us liberate ourselves from any form of control. Let us focus at the inner drum, where the rhythm aligns with that of our heart. The measure of responsibility, equals to the need for evolution. Just listen, the inner child, let it whisper in your ear.”
―
Grigoris Deoudis
