Ceremony for the Ancestors
Saturday, October 31st / 7 PM Central Time
Facebook Live (on my personal FB Page: Jaime Meyer)
In many spiritual traditions, autumn is the time of year to honor the ancestors with (often elaborate) ceremony. It's easy to honor the ancestors you love, and even the ones you know nothing about. It's harder to send blessings to the ancestors we despise, the ones who hurt us or brought wreckage or shame. But however you approach this ceremony, the ritual sending of blessings to the ancestors is a fundamental act that empowers, blesses and heals our own lives, and helps to release us from negative ancestral influences.
From my colleague Patti Choate: In esoteric astrology, tonight is the Full Moon of Scorpio. The influence of this moon is on a soul level, and it can be felt in a very deep way. In short, the higher octaves of Scorpio are at play: themes of death and rebirth, revealing what is hidden, and an opportunity to conquer the obstacles that prevent us from vibrating at a higher level of essence. We are aided by the Eagle, who for the ancient Toltecs was God, spirit, essence; and by the Phoenix, who promises rebirth out of the ashes of that which no longer serves us. One important thing to remember: we may ask for things to be removed from us. - but we do not always have a choice in what is taken. Spirit sees more than us, and decides for itself! When you register for this ceremony, you'll be given a page link with more information on how to approach the ceremony and prepare for it. In that information, I offer you a range of options for how to prepare for the ceremony. You can also read my blog piece called How to work With the Ancestors. It offers several ideas. Questions?
