Families and Addiction:
A shamanic approach to healing the chaos and pain of living with a loved one who suffers from addiction.
Friday, October 23, 7-10 PM
Saturday October 24, 10 AM - 4 PM
You need to know you are not a victim of your
loved one's addiction. There are science-based tools to help you, and there is wisdom from shamanic spiritual traditions as well. This workshop offers you a unique opportunity to call on both so you can regain control over your life, rebuild your happiness, and stop falling victim to the chaos and manipulation that are part of the addicted person’s daily life.
Someone you love is addicted.
You’ve had enough of life being out of control. You've had enough guilt and anguish, enough of carrying the 24/7 panic that waits for the next crisis. Maybe you’ve been successful at pretending to “deal with it.” Maybe you are one breath away from shattering. You know the truth, whether you admit it to yourself or not: “I can’t change them. I cannot magically save them from dying.”
Here is a new truth: You didn’t cause it, you can’t cure it, and your focus on saving them may not only enable their addiction to worsen, but it may be your own form of addiction (to being the rescuer).
And another truth: There are healthy ways and unhealthy ways to deal with the addicted person in your life. You are ready to be healthy.
