Sometimes I have rattles already made that you can purchase but I also like to have unfinished rattles so that you can customize what goes inside. The pictures on this page are examples of recent rattles. Every rattle is unique in color, texture, and sound.

Left: Two-sided rattles with hide-wrapped handles. Price: $60 plus shipping (about $7)

Below: Goddess shaped rattles, about 15" tall with oak handle wrapped with hide.   Price: $90. I often make one side of the rattle darker and the other lighter to represent the different faces of Spirit. Sometimes I make one side smooth and the other rough. I leave the rattle unadorned so that you can decorate it in your own unique way.

Above and below: 18" deer skin drum with maple hoop. Price $160.

I like to use a black walnut stain (black walnuts soaked in water to extract a dark stain) to create the dark pattern. I can make the treatment very dark to very light. This drum tends toward darker stain. The dark spots on the edges come from dipping the skin into the walnut stain.
