This program takes you on a journey of cross-cultural shamanic ideas and practices, linking the ancient with the modern. The aims of this program are to help you wake up to why you came into this life and learn how to more effectively navigate your journey with vision, strength and trust. The program offers you opportunities to take risks, open inner places that you know you want to open, and to hold, with balance and integrity, the contradictions of life in the human body. Under it all, this is a path of joy, gratitude, love and awe.
The Deadline for Applying is December 28, 2019

Welcome to Shaman School!

I've designed this program to offer you a convenient schedule that combines at-home study with the power and support of being part of a safe and fun community of like-minded souls. We will meet one weekend per month (Friday night, all day Saturday, no Sundays).  We will do some of the work in my South Minneapolis house/studio, and also be out in nature as much as we can.

Each month you will will build shamanic skills and power in you, layer upon layer as you solidify an embodied connection with Spirit (and spirits.) You'll apply healing to old negative patterns embedded in you by family, culture and experience, open direct connection to your true power, and take on practical spiritual practices, including some shamanic healing techniques you can use for the benefit of yourself and others, all in a safe and nurturing community. You'll leave this program with life-long skills, shamanic healing tools and a transformed inner life that will help you better navigate this tumultuous world. Along the way, you will have plenty of wondrous experiences, and, yes,  laughs.

This program draws from my direct training in Celtic and Peruvian traditions, augmented with cross-cultural mystical ideas and practices. I also draw on my formal theology studies in the Seminary. Please be sure to check me out.  You'll be assigned reading about a month before each weekend meeting to give you time to absorb it. Reading involves mythic stories, poems, and various books and articles on shamanic practice. Some audio and video lessons are also part of the curriculum - mainly meditations and prayers to build your power that will solidify your daily practice. Check out free audios and videos here.

You need no prior experience with shamanism to join this program, but you do need one thing: commitment. I ask that you don't register for this program lightly. The program will demand that you are willing to step into more personal spiritual power. There is plenty of doubt and fear involved in the work (everyone has it, not just you!) but the work will also be full of awe, joy, self-discovery and, yes, fun. This is a path of building power, love, and wisdom. I ask that you enter this work with dedication.

You'll graduate from this program standing on a solid foundation for living shamanically in the modern world, knowing how to make personal ceremonies and prayers for yourself and others, and having a tool kit of core shamanic healing techniques. You will build your inner power and connection to Spirit and to nature as a living presence. You'll be part of a fun and loving spiritual community.

Schedule

If you know this study is for you, I urge you to register as soon as you can. The first wave of readings and online study involves some powerful work to unravel old destructive thinking/behavior/ancestral patterns and lay a foundation for your year of study. The sooner you begin that work, the better your year of study will go.

Classes are held in my south Minneapolis home/studio, and out in nature as often as possible.

The community that Jaime has helped my fellow participants and me create is the most nourishing, accepting, and loving community I've ever been a part of. The readings, teachings, stories, and ceremonies have helped me become stronger and more grounded in my values and spiritual beliefs. This is an amazing program for anyone looking to build up their own personal practices and beliefs rooted in Celtic and/or shamanic traditions." - CB

What is your name?

"My growth during the Year-Long Program has been surprising, impressive, and a great satisfaction to me. I had read a couple of books on shamanism and it was clear what I was missing was EXPERIENCE. Some of my experiences in this program have been profound. Jaime is not only a knowledge-bearer of a wide and diverse collection of shamanic lore, he is a wonderful storyteller, sharing his own life stories of repeated journeys from doubt to wonder. Plus, even beyond what he has words for, Jaime embodies --lives-- the shamanic path and I have learned valuable lessons he could not have "taught," just watching him do his best to share this path with us over these many months. Jaime's introduction to animism and shamanism has filled me with gratitude for my living relationship with spirits. Spirits of the land, the plants & animals, my ancestors and the wisdom flows through it all, connecting everything." (-- RF, 2017 student)
